Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions explain the use of our website and the general terms on which Huncho Company Limited provides services. Please read them before booking work with us.

1. About us

Company name: Huncho Company Limited
Company number: 13785298
VAT number: 500 7404 40
Contact address: Office 1618, 321–323 High Road, Romford, Essex RM6 6AX
Email: hello@hunchocompany.com
Telephone: 0330 043 0561
Website: https://hunchocompany.com/

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Huncho Company Limited. “You” and “your” mean the customer booking our services or the person using our website, as applicable.

A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

2. Our services

We provide property maintenance, repairs, windows and glass services, locks and boarding up, damp and mould services, contract cleaning and other property support services.

The exact work, price, materials, timing and any exclusions will be set out in the quotation, booking confirmation or separate service agreement.

Ongoing cleaning, key holding, empty property security and letting support may require additional written terms covering the particular service.

These terms do not create a tenancy or give us authority to let or manage a property without a separate agreement.

3. Enquiries and bookings

Submitting a website form or requesting a quotation does not, by itself, confirm a booking.

A contract is formed when you accept our quotation or proposed booking terms and we confirm acceptance. Confirmation may be provided by email, message or another agreed method.

We will make these terms and relevant booking information available before you commit to the work.

You must provide accurate contact details, the correct property address and a clear description of the work required.

You must own the property or have permission from the owner or another authorised person to instruct the work.

4. Quotations and estimates

A quotation gives a price for the work described, subject to its stated conditions. An estimate is an approximate price based on the information available at the time.

We will explain whether the price provided is a quotation or an estimate.

Prices depend on the agreed scope of work, property condition, access, materials and information supplied by you. Any quotation validity period will be stated in the quotation.

If we identify additional work or circumstances that affect the agreed price, we will explain the proposed change and obtain your agreement before carrying out that additional work.

If you decline additional work, we will explain whether the original work can safely and reasonably proceed.

Prices quoted to consumers will include VAT where applicable. Business quotations will clearly state whether VAT is included.

5. Call-outs and emergency work

Any call-out fee, inspection charge, minimum charge or out-of-hours rate will be explained before you agree to the booking.

A call-out or inspection fee may cover attendance and assessment only. We will explain what is included and whether repairs or materials cost extra.

We aim to respond promptly to urgent requests. Arrival times are estimates unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed time.

Availability and response times may be affected by location, traffic, weather, demand and safety conditions.

Temporary repairs and boarding up are intended to provide an interim solution. We will explain when further work is recommended.

6. Access and your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access at the agreed time.
  • Arrange necessary permissions from owners, tenants, managing agents or other relevant parties.
  • Tell us about known hazards, including suspected asbestos, unsafe structures or electrical risks.
  • Provide relevant information about alarms, access restrictions and parking arrangements.
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area.
  • Remove or protect belongings where reasonably requested before work begins.
  • Provide access to water or electricity where reasonably required and agreed.

We may pause or decline work if conditions are unsafe or required permissions are missing.

If an appointment cannot proceed because agreed access is unavailable, any charge must have been disclosed in advance and must be reasonable, reflecting actual loss after reasonable steps to reduce it.

7. Carrying out the work

We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill.

Where no completion time has been agreed, we will complete the work within a reasonable time.

We may use suitably qualified contractors where appropriate. Where your contract is with Huncho Company Limited, we remain responsible for our contractual obligations.

We will take reasonable care to protect your property and explain foreseeable disruption or access requirements.

If work requires the removal or disturbance of existing materials, we will explain any reasonably foreseeable making-good requirements and whether they are included in the price.

8. Materials and replacements

Materials and products will be as described in the agreed quotation or booking information.

If an agreed product becomes unavailable, we will discuss a suitable alternative and any price difference before proceeding.

Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain products. These are additional to your statutory rights.

Made-to-measure glass and other bespoke products may have different cancellation rights. Any applicable restriction will be explained before you place the order.

9. Damp, mould and cleaning services

The scope of damp, mould or cleaning work will be agreed before work begins.

Where an underlying building defect, ventilation issue or continuing moisture source is identified, we will explain any further investigation or remedial work recommended.

The outcome of treatment may depend on addressing those underlying causes and following reasonable aftercare instructions. This does not limit our responsibility for the quality of our own work.

For regular cleaning, the agreed schedule will specify the areas covered, frequency, access arrangements and any exclusions.

10. Payments and deposits

The price, any deposit and the payment due date will be explained before you agree to the booking.

Invoices must be paid according to the agreed terms.

If you believe an invoice is incorrect, please contact us promptly so we can investigate. We will discuss any disputed amount with you.

Deposits are not automatically non-refundable. Any amount retained following cancellation must be lawful, fair and proportionate to our actual loss, taking account of costs saved and reasonable steps to reduce that loss.

We will not add undisclosed charges after you have agreed to the work.

11. Consumer cancellation rights

If you are a consumer and your contract falls within the statutory rules for distance or off-premises contracts, you will normally have a right to cancel a service contract within 14 days after the contract is made.

Different rules can apply to goods and mixed goods-and-services contracts. Where applicable, we will provide the relevant cancellation information before you enter into the contract.

To cancel, tell us clearly by emailing hello@hunchocompany.com, calling 0330 043 0561, or writing to our contact address. Include your name, property address and booking details.

You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to.

Starting work during the cancellation period

If you want services to begin during a statutory cancellation period, we will obtain your express request and any acknowledgement required by law. For off-premises contracts, the request must be made on a durable medium, such as email.

If you subsequently cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for services properly supplied before cancellation, provided the legal requirements have been met.

You lose the statutory right to cancel a fully performed service only where the required express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.

Urgent repairs

The statutory cancellation right does not generally apply to a contract for a visit you specifically request to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance.

This exception is limited to the urgent work requested and replacement parts necessarily used for it. Additional services or goods may still carry cancellation rights.

Refunds

Where a cancellation refund is due, we will provide it within the applicable statutory period, normally within 14 days after being informed of your decision to cancel a service contract.

Refunds will normally use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

12. Other cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.

Outside any statutory cancellation right, a cancellation charge will apply only where it was clearly agreed in advance and is fair and proportionate to the loss caused by the cancellation.

If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will notify you promptly and discuss an alternative appointment. If we cannot provide the agreed service, we will refund payments for services not supplied.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. Problems with our work

Please contact us promptly if you believe our work is incomplete, defective or does not match what was agreed.

Provide your booking details and a description of the problem. Photographs may help us assess the issue.

Where appropriate, please allow reasonable access for inspection and correction. This does not prevent you from taking reasonable urgent action to protect people or property.

If you are a consumer, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Where the law provides for repeat performance, a price reduction or another remedy, those rights remain available.

Any additional workmanship guarantee will be confirmed separately in writing.

14. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We are not responsible for a pre-existing defect merely because it is discovered during our work. We remain responsible for any loss or damage we cause through our own breach or negligence.

Any business-specific limitations of liability must be separately agreed and comply with applicable law.

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights.

15. Events outside our reasonable control

Events outside our reasonable control may delay the work, including severe weather, road closures or unexpected supply disruption.

We will notify you, explain the likely effect and take reasonable steps to reduce the delay.

If a delay becomes substantial, we will discuss your options, including cancellation of affected work and any refund due. This clause does not remove your statutory rights.

16. Website use

You must not misuse our website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or use our forms to send unlawful or abusive material.

Website content is provided for general information. Property-specific advice depends on an appropriate assessment.

We take reasonable care over website information but may update service descriptions and availability. Updates do not change an existing agreed contract without your agreement.

Website text, branding, images and other content belong to us or our licensors, unless stated otherwise. You may view and print content for personal reference. Other reuse requires permission unless permitted by law.

17. Privacy

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

18. Complaints

Please send complaints to hello@hunchocompany.com or write to our contact address.

Include your name, booking reference if available, property address and a description of your concern. We will investigate and seek a fair resolution.

Where applicable, we will provide information about an appropriate alternative dispute resolution provider and whether we are required or willing to use it.

You may seek independent advice or pursue any legal remedy available to you.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in your local courts that apply by law.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future website use and bookings. The latest version will display its revision date.

The terms agreed when your booking was made will continue to apply to that booking unless we agree a change with you.
